On the 17th May 2009, Harlequin School of Gymnastics took part in the County Floor and Vault Competition held in Luton. We had many gymnasts representing the club in all different age groups, coming away with 97 medals and 13 County Champions.

In General Level 1 Girls Under 8 years, Maisie Hill was 5th on floor, 6th on vault and 5th overall. Charlotte Baxter was 4th on floor, 3rd on vault and 4th overall. Paige Tarbutt was 2nd on floor, 3rd on vault and 2nd overall. Eden Horwood only competed on vault coming 2nd and 6th overall.

In the Under 10 Girls, Ashleigh Hennesse-Kemp was 14th on floor and 14th overall. Megan Bunyard came 11th on floor and 13th overall. Olivia Hill was 8th on floor and 12th overall. Isabelle Capewell was 11th on floor, 11th on vault and 11th overall. Lauren Pratt was 11th on floor, 9th on vault and 10th overall. Alicia Anderhub was 7th on floor, 10th on vault and 9th overall. Georgia Leighton was 10th on floor, 8th on vault and 8th overall. Emilia Corvesor was 3rd on floor, 6th on vault and 7th overall. Kayleigh Parker was 6th on floor, 4th on vault and 6th overall. Sophie Janes was 2nd on floor, 5th on vault and 5th overall. Daisy Saunders was 1st on floor, 6th on vault and 3rd overall.

In the Girls Under 12, Hannah Bourne was 9th on floor, 2nd on vault and 9th overall. Jessica Dell was 7th on floor, 7th on vault and 6th overall. Phoebe Ruddock was 3rd on floor, 3rd on vault and 4th overall. Hannah Douthwaite was 1st on floor, 5th on vault and 3rd overall. Emma Cansdale was 1st on floor, 4th on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

In the Girls Under 14, Corrin Jackson was joint 1st on floor, 7th on vault and 7th overall. Chelsea Dymock was 5th on floor, 4th on vault and 3rd overall. Stephanie Hull was 3rd on floor, 2nd on vault and 2nd overall. Katie Burt was joint 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making her county champion.

In the Girls Under 16, Georgia Wilson was 2nd on floor, 2nd on vault and 2nd overall.

In the Boys Under 8, Eddie Standen was 3rd on vault, while Jayden Courtney-Robin and Reece Pinder were joint 1st.

In the Boys Under 14, Jack Stone-Catt was 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making him County Champion.

In General Level 2, Girls Under 14 Lucy Everson was 3rd on floor, 1st on vault and 2nd overall, while Catherine Jell was 1st on floor, 2nd on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

In the Girls Under 16, Amber Donnelly was 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making her county champion.

In the Boys Under 14, Rory Donnelly was 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making him County Champion.

In Artistic Level 6 Girls age 8/9, Jade Leighton was 5th on floor and 18th overall. Ella-Rose King was 18th on floor, 3rd on vault and 10th overall. Hollie Brandom was 5th on floor, 12th on vault and 10th overall. Maddie Cantwell was 17th on floor, 4th on vault and 9th overall. Simone Brodrick was 11th on floor, 10th on vault and 7th overall. Casey Connely was 14th on floor, 8th on vault and 7th overall. Abbie Tingey was 7th on floor, 1st on vault and 2nd overall. Connie Woolhead was 3rd on floor, 2nd on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

In Girls 10/11 Megan Roberts was 6th on floor and 10th overall. Chloe Dymock was 8th on floor, 2nd on vault and 4th overall. Rebekah Beare was 3rd on floor, 7th on vault and 3rd overall.

In the Girls Age 12+ Amber O’Connell was 8th on floor, 5th on vault and 8th overall. Amy Freeman was 7th on floor, 6th on vault and 7th overall. Charlotte Barrack was 5th on floor, 4th on vault and 6th overall. Melissa Gomez was 6th on floor, 3rd on vault and 5th overall. Evie Allen was 3rd on floor, 8th on vault and 4th overall. Sophie Brunker was 4th on floor, 2nd on vault and 3rd overall.

In Artisitc Level 5 Girls Age 8 years, Sadie Towell was 5th on floor, 7th on vault and 7th overall. Georgia Batten was 7th on floor, 3rd on vault and 5th overall. Nico Brodrick was 4th on floor, 5th on vault and 5th overall. Surenne Hibbins was 3rd on floor, 5th on vault and 4th overall. Freya Nelson was 1st on floor, 4th on vault and 3rd overall. Alissa Denniston was 5th on floor, joint 1st on vault and 2nd overall. Cody Whitbread was 2nd on floor, joint 1st on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

In the Girls Age 9/10, Amy Thurgood was 12th on floor, 14th on vault and 13th overall. Ellie Woolhead was 11th on floor, 12th on vault and 11th overall. Kirsten Evans was 4th on floor, 9th on vault and 6th overall. Mollie Walsh was 3rd on floor, 1st on vault and 3rd overall. Sophie Black was 1st on floor, 4th on vault and 1st overall, making her County Champion.

In the Girls Age 11/12, Lauren Evans was 5th on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

In the Girls Age 13+, Rachel Lindsey was 9th on floor, 8th on vault and 9th overall. Amber Whales was joint 3rd on floor, 10th on vault and 7th overall. Amy Humphries was 5th on floor, 5th on vault and 4th overall. Lana Saunders was joint 3rd on floor, 2nd on vault and 2nd overall.

In Artistic Level 4 Age 10/11, Jade Redrup was 4th on floor, 3rd on vault and 4th overall. Sofia Walker was 3rd on floor, 1st on vault and 2nd overall. Jessica O’Sullivan was 1st on floor, 2nd on vault and 1st overall, making her County Champion.

In Level 4 Age 12/13, Sophie Smart was 5th on floor, 1st on vault and 5th overall. Ellen Woodhouse was 3rd on floor, 3rd on vault and 2nd overall.

In Level 4 Girls 14+ Libby McNeill was 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

In Artistic Level 3 Girls Age 11/12 Maja Austin was 2nd on floor, 3rd on vault and 2nd overall.

In Artistic Level 2 Rebecca Mead was 1st on floor, 1st on vault and 1st overall making her County Champion.

Well done to all gymnasts that took part, many of whom were competing in their first ever competition.
